Hebron Board of Education’s Office of Educational Services supports a number of district efforts including (a) special education and related services; (b) physical education and health; and (c) school climate and social/emotional learning. We focus deeply within each of these areas on standards aligned instructional lessons which leverage student’s strengths, encourage student growth, and promote overall student well-being. Educating ALL of our students to be successful learners and participants in the 21st Century is our primary focus. For our efforts to be effective, they must be grounded in evidence-based practices, aligned to our current Connecticut Core Standards (CCS), and established on a premise that all of our student's will benefit from a rich learning experience. We also recognize that our instruction and student supports are continually evolving as our field advances - regularly integrating best practices, aligning district initiatives, and incorporating state directives all lead to a sustainable and rigorous learning community for our students.

Each department within the Office of Educational Services works in close collaboration to ensure timely and comprehensive supports are provided across the district. Within the department of special education and related services, our teams work very closely with families to develop, implement, and monitor individualized student programming. This team includes special education teachers and related service providers. We are fortunate in Hebron to have a related services team which includes school psychologists, speech and language pathologists, physical and occupational therapists, social workers, and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Hebron schools seek to enrich the learning environment for each individual student by sustaining effective practices and actively pursuing new strategies for teaching that will contribute to student success.

Hebron Public Schools has a maintained priority of supporting the social and emotional well-being of our students and staff. We also emphasize a systematic approach to promoting and sustaining a positive school climate for all students and staff across all settings of our school. This work is primarily supported by our two school deans, our two school psychologists, our social worker, and our school counselor.

Working collaboratively, the Physical Education and Health department in Hebron have developed comprehensive curricula, shared best practices, and analyzed assessments to improve curriculum and instruction. This team includes our two physical education teachers, our two school nurses, and our School Resource Officer. In Hebron, our educators are tireless in their pursuit to ensure each of our students develop the 21stcentury skills needed to find success in school and in life.

A commitment to excellence for ALL of our students requires the dedication of many people: students, faculty, staff, administrators, parents, school board members, and the community. In Hebron, there is tremendous evidence of this commitment to excellence. We are appreciative to all who contribute to the powerful educational opportunities available to students in our school district.
